    Tragic thriller featuring Irish star leaves film fans 'crying' and 'haunted for life'

    Cinema enthusiasts have been left deeply moved by a heart-wrenching thriller . On the Facebook group Netflix Bangers, a member shared stills from the 2009 movie, Lovely Bones , commenting: "This move is 2h and 15m long but it hurts for the rest of your life," sparking a wave of agreement from others.

    One individual described the film as "such a beautiful movie" yet "so sad," while another confessed: "I was crying all the way [through] this movie. Masterpiece." One moviegoer disclosed: "God, I went to see this at the movies when I went [to] Atlanta, it broke me," Meanwhile, someone else expressed: "I can't watch it again, once was enough. Book was brilliant too."

    Reflecting on the film's impact, a viewer shared: "This movie left a sting in my chest...I think about it every time I look at my daughters," as another noted: "The Lovely Bones, beautiful and sad," and yet another commented: "I read the book after seeing the movies. Both made me bawl."

    There was even an admission from one person who hadn't seen the film: "I've seen trailers and it looks like a sad one. I think I will pass on this. Sometimes it's hard to watch films like this," reports the Daily Star .

    Others continued to praise the film, with comments like "loved" the film and "will never forget Susie Salmon," the protagonist. "The Lovely Bones and the book destroyed me," someone else acknowledged.

    One viewer expressed their frustration with the film's conclusion, stating: "I wanted them to find her so bad and I wanted them to [beat] the living [poo emoji] out of him. I'm still mad about the ending."

    The Lovely Bones is a 2009 fantasy thriller boasting a star-studded cast. The ensemble includes a young Saoirse Ronan , Stanley Tucci, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon, Rachel Weisz, Michael Imperoli, and Rose McIver.

    A synopsis of the film reads: "Susie, a fourteen-year-old girl, is murdered by her neighbor Harvey. She refuses to move on from purgatory saying she has unfinished business and continues to watch over her family and her killer."

    The movie is an adaptation of a 2002 novel of the same name penned by Alice Sebold. It quickly became a bestseller and tells the story of Susie as she observes her loved ones from heaven after her premature death.
