Southampton are setting their sights high as they prepare for their Premier League return, and they're apparently in talks to secure the services of Crystal Palace's promising winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The Saints, known for their attacking prowess, are looking to bolster their squad with the talented 21-year-old, who is eager to join the South Coast club.

Rak-Sakyi, who had an impressive loan spell at Charlton Athletic last season, has caught the eye of Southampton's management.

According to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas , the winger is keen on making the move, enticed by the opportunity for more first-team football and the chance to work under manager Russell Martin.

Southampton has reportedly offered around £7 million ($9 million) for Rak-Sakyi, a move that could add significant depth to their attacking options. With Leeds United also showing interest, the Saints are pushing hard to finalize the deal.

    Potential partnership with Adam Armstrong

The addition of Rak-Sakyi could form a formidable partnership with striker Adam Armstrong.

Armstrong, who scored the decisive goal in the play-off final, is eager to prove himself in the Premier League. With Che Adams moving to Torino, Armstrong is set to be the main man up front, and the arrival of Rak-Sakyi could provide the creative spark needed to unlock defences.

Rak-Sakyi's potential is clear from his performances in the EFL, where he notched 15 goals and numerous assists during his time with Charlton. His ability to play on the wing or centrally makes him a versatile option for Southampton's attack.

Rak-Sakyi's signing would be a statement of intent, showcasing the club's ambition to establish itself in the top tier.
