Earlier this month, Marko Stunt returned to AEW television during an episode of Collision to unsuccessfully challenge Jack Perry for the TNT Championship. Subsequently, this led some fans to hope the AEW original was back with the company. However, in the news, which will disappoint some, Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed during a Fightful Select Q&A session that it was just a one-off appearance.

“It was a one-off appearance, but he was welcomed back.”

27-year-old Stunt debuted for AEW at their inaugural Double or Nothing pay-per-view as part of the Casino Battle Royal. This would result in him signing a full-time contract with the newly launched company and forming the Jurassic Express alongside Perry and Luchasaurus (now called Killswitch). Yet two years into his run, it would come out that Stunt wasn’t being included in any future merchandise plans. Therefore, it didn’t come as a big surprise when he departed the company in 2022 following several months of not wrestling.
