AG1 Names Kat Cole Chief Executive Officer

AG1, a leading global nutrition company, has elevated Kat Cole to Chief Executive Officer. Cole joined AG1 in December 2021 as President and Chief Operating Officer. As CEO, she will continue to serve as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

She succeeds Chris Ashenden, who founded AG1 as Athletic Greens in 2010 and led the company’s evolution from a startup to a globally recognized leader in nutrition and health, reaching millions of customers around the world. Ashenden will remain on the Board of Directors.

Cole is a seasoned business leader and sought-after advisor with more than 20 years of operational, brand, and executive leadership experience. Prior to AG1, she was President and COO at Focus Brands, where she oversaw the company’s nine presidents and businesses generating billions in sales around the world.

Since Cole joined AG1, the company has seen multiple years of immense growth. At the same time, AG1 has meaningfully invested in scaling its business operations to meet growing customer demand. This includes tripling the size of the team, building a robust in-house scientific research and product development team, conducting rigorous studies, and greatly expanding the company’s manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain capabilities.
