This picture shows the moment a cocker spaniel was reunited with its owner - after getting stuck in a storm drain.

The dog - named Bramble - became trapped while out on a walk in Faversham, Kent.

Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and worked to remove the manhole cover.

The team then lowered a bag into the drain which, after a few failed attempts, Bramble hopped into and he was lifted to safety.

The chocolate brown dog was unhurt and very happy to be reunited with his owner.

Pictures show the feel-good moment when the pair were brought back together.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service posted on Facebook: "It was a ‘ruff’ walk for Bramble after he got stuck in a drain in #Faversham.

"The cocker spaniel had run into a storm drain, got lost in the system, and he couldn’t find his way back out again!

"Firefighters worked to remove the manhole cover and lower a large bag for Bramble, which, after a couple of attempts, he climbed into ‘paw-fectly’ and was lifted to safety.

"Bramble was unhurt and very happy to be reunited with his owner."
