Virgil van Dijk is yet to link up with the rest of the Liverpool squad for pre-season training after being granted an extended period of leave following his Euro 2024 exploits with the Netherlands.
The Dutchman helped his nation reach the final four in Germany before they were knocked out by England, yet he is now enjoying a well-deserved break before he jumps back into domestic action with the Reds ahead of the new season.
So far, the 33-year-old has been spotted posing alongside NBA superstar LeBron James at a London event for the launch of Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre's new Gin & Juice drink, with Eminem also making a special appearance at the red carpet event.

Partying alongside a host of A-list stars at Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace in Shepherd’s Bush, the Dutchman was joined by the likes of Jude Bellingham , Idris Elba, Jeremy Renner and Shaquille O’Neal. Days later, Van Dijk was then pictured alongside Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne in Ibiza.
The Premier League duo smiled for pictures with world-renowned DJ Calvin Harris at the famous Ushuaia party venue, appearing to party the night away as part of their extended time off from club duties. However, it highlighted the unexpected friendship between the pair, with this being the third year in a row they have been spotted holidaying together.
Despite battling it out in Premier League titles races for the last six years with Liverpool and Man City, as well as having never played on the same team together, the Dutchman and the Belgian appear to have somewhat formed a blossoming bromance outside of football.
According to the Daily Mail , it's all down to their shared love of dance/electronic music, but more specifically because they both like the same DJ - Scotsman Calvin Harris. Van Dijk and De Bruyne had, of course, linked up for his most recent performance in Ibiza over the weekend.
But the superstar duo had already vacationed together twice before on the Spanish party island in both 2022 and 2023. They were first spotted together two years ago, when their tradition of watching Harris began, before they were joined by fellow Premier League players Nathan Ake and Marcus Rashford last year.
This summers sighting of Van Dijk and De Bruyne is the third year on the trot they have partied together in the Balearics, which all but confirms their unexpected yet blossoming bromance outside of football. However, De Bruyne previously revealed that the two also cross paths back in the UK.
Following the 2-2 draw between their respective sides at the Etihad in April 2022, the Belgian alluded at how their friendship came about, revealing that their kids go to the same school and like to hang out with each other.
"I know Virgil… me and Virgil see each other a lot. Our children go to the same school and they like to play together, so it was just a friendly chat" De Bruyne said.
It remains to be seen when Van Dijk will return for pre-season training ahead of the new campaign, but there is a chance he could link up with the rest of the first-team squad on their tour of the US.
