After a disappointing performance at The Open Championship at Royal Troon, Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll jetted off to Portugal for a bit of R&R .

CBS golf reporter Amanda Balionis followed suit , swapping the fairways for the wilds of Wyoming, where she soaked in the mountainous serenity. While McIlroy and Stoll were basking in the Portuguese sunshine in Almancil , Balionis was getting her fill of the great outdoors in America's cowboy state.

Both took these breaks as a breather from the high stakes of The Open.

McIlroy didn't have the best time at Royal Troon, clocking in a seven-over 78 on the first day his worst major start since 2019. He was so over it that he started thinking about his holiday plans mid-tournament.

"Yeah, I think once I made the 8 on the fourth hole, that was it - 22 holes into the event and I'm thinking about where I'm going to go on vacation next week," McIlroy confessed.

Exclusive snaps of McIlroy and Stoll hopping off his private jet in Faro, Portugal, showed Stoll with her wedding band, hinting at their back-on-track marriage after nearly calling it quits in May.

They ripped up their divorce papers just before the U. S. Open in June, giving their love another shot.

Balionis offered her extensive Instagram following of 319,000 a delightful snapshot of her getaway to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. A particularly notable picture shows her in a country setting, standing by a fence with a big grin.

Donned in a red dress cinched at the waist along with brown cowboy boots, Balionis embodied the modern cowgirl vibe.

Adding to the rustic charm in the background was a horse-rider garbed in a white top and traditional cowboy hat. The calming backdrop of Bob Ross-style mountains and a pristine blue sky resembled that of an old Western postcard scene.

But that's not all from Balionis she also shared a selfie taken with the famous wooden sign of Yellowstone National Park and another photograph showed her next to a snug log cabin nestled amongst verdant meadows, encapsulating the serene nature of her trip.
