Although linen is widely considered as a high-end fabric, there are versions of the material that are far more affordable, including what's known as linen-based material. Linen-based fabric and clothing essentially means that the linen has been blended with another material (which can actually help make it both softer and more wrinkle-resistant), but that doesn't make these types of pieces any less breathable .

A perfect example of what we're talking about are these pants that we spotted at Target , which look like an absolute dream to wear. Beyond that, the design has an upscale vibe that appears more expensive than its affordable price, which we've become very accustomed to when exploring Target's fashion gems .

These high-waisted pants have a button-fly closure up top, with tapered pant legs that get narrower towards the ankle. A couple of great details immediately stood out when we spotted these pants. In addition to the slip pockets on the hips and in the back, there are two more top-flap pockets on the side of each pant leg for extra style and storage. There are also adjustable ankle straps at the bottom of each pant leg that you can make tighter or looser, depending on what you prefer.

Not 100% linen, the makeup of the material of these pants is 55% linen and 45% rayon, and is described as "midweight," so they're not paper thin. We actually prefer to have our pants to have a slightly thicker feel, because that often means they look better on.

And that's what shoppers are saying so far about these pants. They say that "the material and the drape of these pants" is "perfect" for the summertime, and add that they have a "very comfortable" feel. We also think these pants could very easily pass for a higher-end style, like this designer pair we found from Saks Off 5th .

When you compare the two pants side by side, there are minor differences that ultimately can't trump the difference in price point. Both are made from high-quality linen (or linen-like material) and have the cargo details that we love. Target fashion finds like these pants can sell out quickly, so we're getting in on them before we miss our chance.
