B&B’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood on Steffy and Finn’s Future

Sheila has been a thorn in Steffy’s side for a long time on The Bold & The Beautiful, especially when it comes to her marriage with Finn. She just doesn’t understand why Finn can’t see the truth about the psycho just because she happens to be his biological mother.

“In Steffy’s opinion, for being so damn smart, Finn can sometimes be clueless,” Jacqueline MacInnes Wood told Soap Opera Digest. When Finn points out that Sheila had no motive for killing Tom and Hollis, “Steffy doesn’t think Sheila needs a motive. She’s clearly a murdering sociopath.”

The problem is that if Finn is able to forgive Sheila for shooting Steffy and nearly killing him, he’s probably going to be able to forgive her for pretty much anything! Still, while she hates Sheila, Steffy refuses to let her spoil what she has with Finn.

“It doesn’t make her view their marriage differently,” Wood explained. “She knows that until Sheila is gone for good, Finn will always be pulled towards her. This has frustrated Steffy, but she doesn’t love Finn any less. Steffy does love Finn. But how many times can Steffy go through this with Finn before being completely worn down by it?”

Of course, what Steffy doesn’t realize is that there’s actually a much more dangerous threat to her marriage — Hope! “I think that Steffy feels that Hope is attempting to influence Steffy and Finn’s marriage because of Sheila, and Hope’s insane thinking that Sheila and Hope’s father, Deacon, have both turned over a new leaf,” Wood teased. “But I don’t think Steffy has any clue that Hope is regularly fantasizing about Finn. When that truth is revealed to Steffy… Hope better be far, far away!”
