World of Warcraft: The War Within’s Big Pre-Expansion Update is Live!

Blizzard Entertainment dropped their first of two big pre-launch updates for the World of Warcraft: The War Withi n expansion, and fans can jump into the action today.

Today, Blizzard Entertainment dropped the first of two updates scheduled to launch before the massive War Within expansion for World of Warcraft . The update includes many notes for players to delve through in preparation, or better yet, fans can jump in right now to experience all of the updates. It’s worth mentioning that while World of Warcraft: The War Within does officially launch on August 26, another pre-launch update is scheduled to arrive between now and then.

World of Warcraft: The War Within Key Update Notes

• Warbands: While account-wide changes will be implemented, Warbands have arrived, and the character management screen will include a warband bank, an increased amount of achievements and reputations that are now account-wide, a new character select screen and more! Players who want to continue expanding their collections will be elated to learn that any character can collect any item appearance, regardless of whether they can equip the item.
• Skyriding: As introduced in Dragonflight as Dragonriding, Skyriding will expand the system to include far more mounts, and can be learned at level 10 instead of the massive level 60 requirement for Dragonriding. The Skyriding skill tree has also received a massive overhaul, making most of the talents in the tree passive.
• Visions of Azeroth: Players who have reached level 70 and have completed the final chapter of the Dragonflight questline, can embark on the introductory questline for World of Warcraft: The War Within , and the first steps of the “Visions of Azeroth” questline.
• The Dragonflight expansion (previously introduced as a standalone) will be absorbed into the base title to allow all players access to the Skyriding ability.
• Lastly, general class balance and patch notes have been added to make the experience smoother.

World of Warcraft continues to trailblaze ahead through the hotter months, fans can engage in all of the first launch of pre-expansion content today. Fans who want the detailed patch notes can swing over to the official Blizzard Blog where the dev team have broken it down to the technical level.
