'A Complete Unknown' Trailer: See Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan

Timothée Chalamet is anything but an unknown, but the actor looks almost unrecognizable as Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic A Complete Unknown.

The film, from director James Mangold, is based on Elijah Wald's2015 book, Dylan Goes Electric!, and follows the true story of the folk legend, from his early days to his controversial turn to electric guitar.

The new teaser, released on Wednesday, shows Edward Norton as Pete Seeger, introducing Dylan to the stage to perform his 1963 hit "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" -- in which Chalamet does his own singing.

Elle Fanning also stars as Sylvie Russo, the film's version of Dylan's girlfriendSuze Rotolo, who was featured on the album art for The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan .

A Complete Unknown is due in theaters in December 2024.
