Angel Reese has had a few nicknames over the course of her impressive basketball career so far.

As a superstar forward for LSU, she was the "Bayou Barbie." Now as an All-Star rookie for the WNBA's Chicago Sky, she's the "Chi-Town Barbie."

Reese gained a new nickname on Wednesday following the announcement that she'll participate in the inaugural season of the Unrivaled Basketball league this coming WNBA offseason.

    "305 Barbie."

305 is the area code for Florida's Miami-Dade County — where the new 3v3 league will hold all of its games starting in January 2025.

Unrivaled Basketball was co-founded by WNBA stars/former UConn teammates Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. The creation of the league was officially announced last July. The six-team, 3v3 league aims to give players an opportunity to play and make money in the United States during the WNBA offseason — instead of going overseas.

The league will give players the highest average salary of any women's sports league ever, and all 30 players will receive equity in the league. The reported minimum salary will be more than $100,000.

Reese is the 10th of 30 players to be announced as an Unrivaled participant.
