A good change perhaps? There has been a lot of negative reaction to the announcement that the cast of Real Housewives of New Jersey would not be sitting down in one group for the reunion. Some also called it the death knell of the series. After all, if the cast can’t even film together, then what are we left with? But Jennifer Aydin is very happy with how it all turned out.

The finale was supposedly so toxic that there was no way to have the entire cast film a reunion together. Consequently, Bravo decided to split the group into two separate rooms. Each group of Real Housewives then watched and reacted to the finale while being filmed.

Jennifer doesn’t think that “resolutions” are always needed

“I didn’t have to see anybody I didn’t like or that I’m not getting along with. It was quite pleasant!” Jennifer exclusively told People about filming the reunion.

The mother-of-five didn’t think that the format took away from the usual goings-on at reunions. They still confronted, and had to “communicate” with each other to “air [their] grievances and [their] gripes.”

“It wasn’t the fighting that you usually see. And the fans are as sick of the fighting as I am, so I think they’re going to love it,” Jennifer added.

Variety reported that Jennifer filmed with Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider. Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Rachel Fuda, Danielle Cabral, and Jennifer Fessler were in the other group. Dolores Catania moved back and forth between the two rooms.

“Sometimes you don’t [need] resolutions to move on. You can decide that somebody is not right for you and some people are not right for you,” Jennifer added.

Certainly, the Bravolebrity’s disinterest in making up with Danielle backs up her statement.

“You don’t need resolution to move on, you can be indifferent and that’s where I am with some of these girls. I’m neither here or there,” she concluded.

Perhaps a positive response from fans will allow RHONJ to continue in its current hybrid format. If not, it may be time for a cast shakeup.
