Arsenal star tipped for incredible England return after Euro 2024 exile

Arsenal were well-represented in Gareth Southgate's England squad at Euro 2024 with Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Aaron Ramsdale all named in the 26-man panel.

Saka and Rice played a crucial role in helping the Three Lions to an eventual 2-1 final defeat to Spain with Ramsdale kept in reserve behind No.1 Jordan Pickford.

However, there was one notable Arsenal absentee in Southgate's plans, as Ben White continued his international exile this summer.

Southgate confirmed in March that White had informed him of his decision 'not to considered for selection for the national set up' despite the England boss confirming his intention to call him up.

White has not featured for England since leaving the squad during the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to personal reasons.

Southgate rejected claims of a rift between himself and White or the Arsenal defender and his assistant coach Steve Holland.

As per a fresh report from the Daily Star , White is now considering his international future, with Southgate and Holland stepping down from their roles after Euro 2024.

Southgate's exit has thrown open speculation over who will replace him with Newcastle's Eddie Howe rumoured to be a target despite his stated commitment to the Magpies.
