GH Stars Have a Blast at RuPaul's Drag Con!

Soap fans love attending events where they can get up close and personal with their favorite stars. But soap stars can be fans, too! In fact, General Hospital ’s Jacqueline Grace Lopez (Blaze) and Rena Sofer (Lois) — along with Sofer’s husband, Sanford Bookstaver and their daughter, Avalon — were the ones excited to meet the celebrities at RuPaul’s DragCon LA 2024!

The convention allows fans to meet and greet many of the drag queens who have competed on the long-running reality competition series RuPaul’s Drag Race, and the quartet had an absolute blast! “What an amazing community to watch and be a part of!” Sofer declared. “So inspiring to be around people who live their truth with pride and purpose. RuPaul is a mother to millions of people struggling to find their place in this world no matter how you define yourself.”

One of the best moments for the group was getting some face time with Drag Race judge Michelle Visage. “My fellow Jersey Girl!” Sofer enthused. “I was honestly intimidated to meet her but wow ! She was so kind and welcoming and every drag queen we met agreed! And to find out she’s a GH fan and especially a Lois fan?! “Lois forever!” Visage commented on Sofer’s post. “You gorgeous goddess, you made my day !”

“What they said,” Lopez added. “It was epic!”

6. Another queen they got a group pic with was season 12 contestant Crystal Methyd.

7. Although two-time runner-up Naomi Smalls wasn't in drag, the gang still grabbed a pic!

8. "Thank you, Jacqueline, for getting the tix to RuPaul's DragCon for Sanford and Avalon and me!" Sofer declared happily.

9. "What a great day of beauty and brilliance!" Sofer said of their adventure.
