‘For All Mankind’ Adds Costa Ronin To Season 5 Cast

EXCLUSIVE : Costa Ronin ( The Americans, Homeland ) is joining the Season 5 cast of Apple TV+‘s For All Mankind as a new series regular.

Season 4 of For All Mankind picked up eight years after the events of Season 3, when Happy Valley rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program turns to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they were working towards.

Ronin will play Lenya, a Soviet politician and former cosmonaut. He joins fellow new series regular Mireille Enos as well as returning cast Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Krys Marshall, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña, Toby Kebbell, Tyner Rushing, Daniel Stern and Svetlana Efremova.

For All Mankind , produced by Sony Pictures Television, is created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi. Wolpert and Nedivi serve as showrunners for Season 5 and executive produce alongside Moore and Maril Davis of Tall Ship Productions, as well as David Weddle, Bradley Thompson, Seth Edelstein and Kira Snyder.

‘For All Mankind’ Renewed For Season 5; Apple Expands Universe With Spinoff Series ‘Star City’

Ronin, born and raised in the Soviet Union and then Russia, is probably best known for his roles on FX’s The Americans and Showtime’s Homeland. He was recently seen in the Netflix series Obliterated and in the indie feature ISS opposite Chris Messina. His credits also include the movie Once Upon a Time In Hollywood and the NBC series Endgame.
