A TikToker has shared lessons on how to be Irish, and they have left people crying with laughter . The Irish social media sensation, who goes by @dimplestilskin, has garnered nearly 100k followers across all online platforms.

The funny woman regularly posts skits about Ireland and the quirks of Irish people, from over-used sayings to personality traits that only those on the Emerald Isle seem to have.

One of the comic's recent videos centred on 'how to be Irish ' which included a lot of self-deprecation, humility, and not getting any "notions" about yourself - an Irish word for being boastful or getting above your station.

Playing two characters in the sketch, a teacher and a student, the comic played out a scenario where the student is getting schooled on how to be quintessentially Irish .

"We'll start with someone saying 'how are you?' You say...," the teacher figure says in the video.

"Eh, my house burned down," the student replies, before the teacher snaps, "No! Try again."

The student then sheepishly changes her answer to: "Everything's great..." The teacher goes on: "So, let's say they heard your house burned down . You say..."

"Ah sure, it was an old -------- anyway," the student replies to great praise from the teacher, who goes on: "If they ask how the family is, you say..." to which the student replies: "Ah, they're okay, my mother's not..."

The teacher snaps, cutting her off, before the student reluctantly carries on: "She's grand... got it." The student reminds her: "Remember what we learned - grand . Everyone's grand. Everything's grand. Grand, grand, grand!"

She moves on: "Okay, let's say I met you and I say, 'that's a lovely dress '. You say..." The student enthusiastically replies: "Oh thank you!"

The teacher gives her a stern look before the student backtracks, answering instead: "I'm an ugly ------- ------- and I look like ----. Please don't give me a compliment ever again."

Satisfied with the new response, the teacher says: "Same time tomorrow? We've got a lot to learn . But don't get too full of yourself now."
