Discounted advanced tickets for the State Fair of West Virginia ending soon

FAIRLEA, WV (WVNS) — The deadline to buy discounted tickets in advance for the State Fair of West Virginia is approaching, ending on Monday, July 29, 2024.

To purchase tickets before the deadline, visit their website , call 1-800-514-ETIX (3849) or visit the State Fair Box Office. The Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2024.

We are just a few weeks from our 99th Annual event and we are getting excited. This year, inflation unfortunately caught up with the fair, and we made the tough decision to raise prices at the gate. To help our fairgoers, however, we’ve left advanced tickets prices at the same price and our gate specials have not changed!

There are a variety of specials running for the 2024 festivities, including:

• Free admission for kids ages 10 and below all week
• $7 admission and $25 ride pass on opening day, August 8
• Communities in Schools of Greenbrier County School Supply Drive – For those that bring 3 school items, they will receive either a ride pass and admission for only $25 OR $8 admission.
• Senior Citizen Day, August 13 – Ages 55 and older receive $7
• All-Day ride special, August 13 – ride pass for $20
• Dollar Day – Admission to the fair for $1 on August 14 until 4 p.m.
• Military Day, August 15 – $7 with a Valid Military ID or Veterans ID
• Afternoon Special – $7 admission for those entering after 4 p.m. on August 13, 14, and 15.
• Lunch Special – For those that come between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and leave by 1 p.m., your admission will be refunded.

The 2024 Advanced Adult tickets (11 years of age and older) are priced at $10 if bought by July 29, or can be purchased at the gate for $15. Advanced carnival ticket discounts include the $30 Mega Pass, which are valid for one day for 12 hours of unlimited rides from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Tickets are available for all concerts and may be bought online or at the State Fair Box Office. Concert tickets are not available at discounted rates, but include gate admission. Tickets bought via their website and through E-TIX are subject to a convenience fee.
