Parts of Summit, Portage counties could see isolated thunderstorms Wednesday

Parts of Summit, Portage and Geauga counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service . The warning is in place until 3:45 p.m.

NWS noted that Akron, Ravenna, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, Solon, Hudson, Twinsburg, Tallmadge, Streetsboro, Garrettsville, Mantua, Stow, Aurora, Brimfield, Munroe Falls, Parkman, Reminderville, Edinburg, Silver Lake, and Windham are expected to be impacted.

After 3:45 p.m., NWS says there's a marginal risk for isolated severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts throughout the evening.

Wednesday afternoon : A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. West wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday night : A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 65. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday : A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 11am and 3pm. Patchy fog before 7am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 78. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday night : Mostly clear, with a low around 54. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light after midnight.

Friday : Sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Friday night : Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Saturday : Sunny, with a high near 86.

Saturday night : Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Sunday : Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
