Direct Admit Wisconsin offers to be provided next week to qualified high school seniors

MADISON, Wis. -- High school seniors will begin receiving admission offers from the Universities of Wisconsin under the new Direct Admit Wisconsin program.

Wisconsin seniors who have met Direct Admit Wisconsin requirements will be notified of their offers next week and continuing into September. Participating students should check their email accounts for these notices.

"Direct Admit Wisconsin makes it easy to enroll in and pursue and UW education," said UWs President Jay Rothman.

Students will need to complete a Direct Admit form to connect with UWs system schools they are interested in and accept their admission offers. There is no fee to complete the Direct Admit form.

Under the initiative qualified high school students from participating schools are automatically admitted up to 10 UWs without having to submit an application.

Students must choose to participate in Direct Admit and are admitted based on their grades and coursework after completion of their junior year.

They must meet all admission requirements, enroll for their senior year of high school, and stay on track to graduate.

Rothman said students must be enrolled in one of the nearly 350 participating public and private schools across Wisconsin. All UWs are participating in the program except UW-Madison, UW-Eau Claire, and UW-La Crosse students.

Students including those receiving Direct Admit offers, may still submit an application to those universities. An offer will be sent through the mail in the coming weeks.
