HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A man will spend time in prison after being sentenced in connection with multiple overdoses last year.

Jonathan Martinez was charged with multiple counts including trafficking and possession where authorities say multiple people overdosed on fentanyl laced cocaine.

Martinez was sentenced to five years for one count of Trafficking Controlled Substance and one year for another count of Trafficking, 12 months for Drug Paraphernalia and 45 days for Possession of Marijuana.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office states the trafficking sentences will run consecutively and the possession charges will run concurrently.
