Two small wildfires sparked in Rocky Mountain National Park this week, both of which have since been contained per a July 24 report.

Both fires were located in the park's Wild Basin area, with one being a 0.25-acre blaze near the Sandbeach Lake Trailhead and the second being a 0.10-acre blaze on the eastern side of Lookout Mountain. No structures were threatened by either fire. It's also worth noting that no trail closures are in place. That said, Wild Basin Road is closed through July 26 due to an unrelated improvement project – though Sandbeach Lake Trail is not impacted by that closure.

Additional information about these fires may be released by Rocky Mountain National Park officials at a later date.
