Man Tries To Give Bear A Snack & Immediately Gets Charged

A fed bear is a dead bear. Just as there are a plethora of things you can do to avoid being attacked by a bear, there are a number of things you can do that virtually assure you'll be charged by one. Feeding bears pretty much guarantees that either the idiotic human that fed the wild animal will be attacked or that the bear will eventually have to be put down. When bears become accustomed to being fed by humans, they start to hang around and approach humans more often. This obviously creates dangerous situations, and if it doesn't end tragically and violently for a human, it often eventually leads to the bear being put down for safety precautions. When bears come to expect food from people, and don't always get it, they can become quite aggressive. We don't know how this story ends, other than the fact that one dumb person in Romania got incredibly lucky the bear it was feeding (bread or pretzels?) decided to pull up from its charge. After being given a snack, the bruin growled and aggressively lunged at the person who had fed it. It appears that the guy somehow got away, because as the footage pans back, it shows the bear running away into the woods - and there's no sight of the man. We're assume he ran back around the car, and the bear headed for the hills. But it unfortunately now has a taste for easy-to-get human food, and that likely won't end well. Romania has had a history of bear attacks, as the post's caption explained:
"Bears have killed 26 people and severely injured 274 others over the last 20 years in Romania, according to the country’s environment ministry. The ministry estimates there are up to 8,000 bears in the country, which has Europe’s largest population of brown bears outside Russia." https://www.instagram.com/reel/C90HsoevI4M/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link That might be one of the more terrifying bear charge videos I've seen. It just goes to show that you can't trust wild animals, and you certainly should never hand over food to them. The good vibes can turn to a violent attack in an instant, and if it's captured on video like this encounter, it could lead social media users to leave hurtful comments like these: "Natural selection at its finest." "What goes through the minds of people when they see these massive wild animals? It's not a dog."
"Repeat after me: 'This is not a petting zoo.'" "Snack was the appetizer. That guy was the entree." "You don’t feed bears because they will associate people with food. Eventually the bear will end up dead for approaching humans. Stop feeding them."
