Globe Drops New Val Bauer Colorway of the 'Surplus' Featuring Scratch-Off Leather

Constructed from a lux black leather, Globe says Val Bauer's new Surplus colorway " bleeds through to blue with age. " The shoes look super rad and Val's skating and style speaks for itself. His perspective on the "whys" and "hows" that inspired the colorway are awesome all the same. Take a look:

“I leant towards the Surplus silhouette as I felt it had the most potential for something good-looking and casual," Val tells Globe. "I went for leather as it’s important to me that the shoe lasts longer whilst looking even better when worn in; hence the bleeding black to blue feature as it wears in."

If you look close, the little angel featured throughout the shoe was drawn by one of Val's best friends—and respected artist—Delapaix, who’s actually been tattooing Val quite a bit through the years. In fact, he has that angel tattooed on his back as it pays homage to his late grandmother. Everything is better when you can include your family and friends, right? Rad!
