After President Joe Biden dropped his reelection efforts, the Justice Department coincidentally found transcripts it once said it didn’t have.

The Justice Department informed a federal judge on Monday night that it had found transcripts of Biden’s talks with a biographer, transcripts the department said previously it didn’t possess. Those transcripts were of interest in the investigation of Biden holding on to classified materials, which was conducted by special counsel Robert Hur.

How coincidental is it that the Justice Department happened upon these transcripts and revealed them to the courts on Monday after Biden made the decision to drop out of the race on Sunday? Either the department happened to find these transcripts in the hours immediately after Biden dropped out, or it was holding on to these transcripts before Monday’s filing. What do we think is more likely?

It is not a stretch to assume that the Justice Department was sitting on this information to help Biden’s reelection campaign and is now coming forward with it because that reelection campaign no longer exists. Biden’s Justice Department used his campaign as the reason it would not release audio of Hur’s interview with Biden, arguing that the audio would be used to create artificial intelligence deepfakes that would make Biden look bad.

We also know the Justice Department began operating as a political tool for Biden within the first few months of his administration. Again, what do we think is more likely here? Biden’s Justice Department has had moves over the last few years to protect his flailing reelection campaign, and this would be yet another one.

Now that those reelection restraints have come off as the Democratic Party shifts its attention to Vice President Kamala Harris, the Justice Department can conveniently reveal inconvenient information about Biden it claims not to have had. Who knows, maybe we will get those audio recordings of Hur’s interview as well.
