Buying in bulk at stores like Costco may save you a lot of money, but it's not always easy to find space to store all of those extra items. For example, what good is it buying 20 rolls of paper towels at a time if you don't have a place to store them?

Lucky for us, social media has a solution. Content creator Aly McDaniel (@thedowntownaly) shared a genius idea on Instagram , showing her followers how to store paper towels in a nice, neat fashion. It's so simple and cheap—and it works like a charm.

Aly used two tension rods to create a DIY paper towel holder in her pantry.

"This paper towel hack with tension rods literally saves you so much space in your pantry!" Aly wrote in the caption to her Instagram video.

She placed two adjustable tension rods vertically on an open pantry shelf, running them between the ceiling of the pantry and the shelf. She placed them just far enough away from the wall to allow her to slide the paper towels between the wall and the rods.

The rods help keep the paper towels from rolling everywhere, and Aly was able to stack the paper towels from the shelf to the ceiling. Whenever she needs a new roll, she simply grabs one from the bottom and all the other rolls slide down, but they don't go rolling all over the pantry.

The best part about this incredible hack is that it can work in almost any area you have. Plus, it saves you space so you can store other bulk items.

We're definitely planning to use this trick in our kitchen pantry, but it's a great idea for other rooms in the house too. You can use tension rods under your bathroom sink to store toilet paper or you can place them in a closet and store your holiday wrapping paper. The uses for such a simple hack are almost endless, and it's great for small spaces !

"Something about being organized is just so attractive!" someone commented on Aly's Instagram post. It definitely makes things look better!

If you want to try this hack, you can get adjustable tension rods at most stores that sell closet organization items or order a pair of them on Amazon for less than $15.
