This coming NBA season officially marks the final year of Inside the NBA.

On Wednesday, the NBA announced its decision to deny TNT's offer and begin a new broadcasting partnership with Amazon.

TNT's existing contract with the NBA expires at the conclusion of the 2024-25 NBA season, meaning basketball fans have just one more season of TNT commentary from Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny "The Jet" Smith and Ernie Johnson.

Barkley announced his decision to retire from broadcasting at the end of this coming NBA season, in large part due to TNT's expiring contract.

In a recent tribute video for Inside the NBA , Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo explained what Barkley and the rest of the crew mean to him as a basketball fan.

“Charles Barkley is so unique because I think he doesn’t have no filter,” he said. “He’s going to speak the truth. He’s going to speak whatever is on his mind. And that’s why I think a lot of people respect him.

“A lot of times he comes out with that they make no sense. But at the end of the day, you respect the guy that speaks the truth to you, has no filter, and at the end of the day, he has fun with it also.”

It'll certainly be interesting to see how far Barkley takes his "no-filter" attitude in his final season on air.
