‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ mocks Hugh Jackman’s divorce: ‘He’s let himself go’

Wolverine rarely cracks a smile, but Hugh Jackman’s got a winning sense of humor — especially about himself.

That comes in handy in “ Deadpool & Wolverine ,” the new Marvel movie in which the 55-year-old actor plays the mutant for the first time since 2017’s “Logan.”

Game Jackman lets co-star Ryan Reynolds, 47, make a cruel crack about the recent breakup of his marriage .

“He’s usually shirtless,” Reynolds’ sassy Deadpool begins. “But he’s let himself go since the divorce.”

Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, his wife of 27 years, announced their separation in September 2023.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” Jackman and Furness, 68, said in a joint statement at the time.

“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

“We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness,” the statement continued. “We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

The exes, who live in New York, share two children — 24-year-old adopted son Oscar and 19-year-old daughter Ava Eliot.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” doesn’t only take jabs at Hugh’s home life. The funny film, which was co-written by Reynolds, also includes other, less personal jokes about the Aussie actor.

For instance, the title character has a line about Jackman’s side-gig as a Broadway star.

“This Logan can do anything!” he exclaims. “Even musicals!”

Later, he doubles down on Jackman’s stage chops.

“Either you help us or my friend here is gonna sing the entire second act of ‘The Music Man’ with zero warmup!” Deadpool says.

The actor starred as Harold Hill in that show in New York in 2022.

The Post was impressed by the “Greatest Showman” actor’s performance in “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which hits theaters Friday, July 26.

“Intense as Mount Vesuvius, Jackman is now the finest actor in the MCU,” reads the three-and-a-half-star review.
