Rep. Angie Craig (D-Minn.) threw her weight behind Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) to be Vice President Harris’s pick for her vice presidential candidate on Wednesday, propping up her governor as the perfect match for Harris.

“I know what it takes to run and win tough races – so does Tim_Walz,” she wrote on the social platform X . “We are in the middle of one of the most consequential presidential races in our country’s history – and we need a battle-tested leader on the ticket.”

“That’s why I’m all in on Gov. Tim Walz for VP,” she added.

Walz has been an ardent supporter of Harris since she jumped in the presidential race Sunday, but he is one of the less-discussed possibilities for being her running mate .

He sparred with former President Trump over his Fox News appearance Tuesday, when he lauded Harris’s record.

Trump criticized Fox News for having the governor on, saying on his Truth Social website that the network is making him “fight battles that I shouldn’t have to fight!”

“Take it from this small town guy: Donald Trump knows nothing about rural America,” Walz responded in a post on X. “That’s why he’s going to lose Minnesota. And Wisconsin. And Michigan. And Pennsylvania.”

Minnesota has voted for Democrats for decades in presidential races, though Trump has focused on flipping the state this November. Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), his vice presidential candidate, will campaign in Minneapolis this week.
