    Fire in Mariposa County contained, evacuation orders lifted

    MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Evacuation orders for residents in the Mount Bullion area of Mariposa County have been lifted following a fire that started near the Mariposa-Yosemite Airport on Wednesday afternoon, the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office says.

    Per Cal Fire , the Bullion Fire started around 2 p.m. and had grown to 50 acres. As of Wednesday afternoon, the fire has been contained. A live interactive map showing evacuation zones and road closures can be found here .

    According to Cal Fire, two structures were destroyed as a result of the fire, and a person was injured.

    The fire has also caused a power outage which left 1,253 customers without electricity, according to PG&E. A map showing affected areas can be viewed on PG&E’s Outage Center Webpage .
