Conway police make arrest in Monday homicide investigation

CONWAY, Ark. – Police in Conway said an arrest has been made in a homicide investigation that began after a man was found dead inside a home Monday morning.

Conway Police Department officials said 25-year-old Montrell Simmons was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of 34-year-old Israel Credit Jr.

Police said they began their investigation after finding Credit’s body in a home on Fairview Street on Monday morning.

Investigators said they later identified Simmons as a suspect in the case and arrested him in Little Rock with the help of the Little Rock Police Department and U.S. Marshals.

CPD officials said the investigation is still ongoing and more information will be released at a later time.
