Dogs are creatures of habit. They learn our daily routines and note what’s happening around them. This is especially true when being observant earns them an extra treat.
While some pups might chase the mail carrier, one gentle giant Mastiff knows better. His exceptional manners earn him not only a special snack but also some extra attention each day.

That happy tail wag is a natural antidepressant! Fronky (@fronkythemastiff) can’t contain his excitement when his mail carrier friend Shaun delivers the packages. With his front legs on the fence, he nearly towers over her with his unbelievable size. The next delivery is for him once the packages are out of her hands, so he sits like a good boy waiting for his treat. After taking his two bites, it’s time to get some special scratches from his pal, who visits daily. At the end of their session, it may have appeared Frankie frightened Shaun, but according to his mom’s comments, that’s only because she’s not a fan of drool. That seems fair with a dog this size. Although working as a mail carrier can be grueling in the heat or cold, petting cheerful dogs along your route would make it all worthwhile. However, if Shaun has her own pups, it’s hard to imagine they aren’t a bit jealous when she gets home each day.

The English Mastiff: A True Gentle Giant
The English Mastiff is one of the world’s oldest and largest dogs . In ancient Rome and Greece, they were used for hunting and protection. They stand approximately 2 1/2 feet tall at the shoulder and can weigh anywhere from 120 to 230 pounds. These massive dogs are intelligent and easy to train, but they can sometimes be a little stubborn. Despite their formidable size, they are well known for being gentle, loving, loyal, and protective of their families.
People were impressed with Fronky’s exceptional manners. Viewer @knubzie_ responded, “He has to be friendly because there is no way that fence would hold him back from anything. The great bambino right there.” He’s the best! Another person pointed out, “Fronky is 100% good boy. He could crumble that fence like a crouton if he wanted to.” Ha! That’s very true. Viewer @cbowers_drummer joked, “Oh, is this why my mail is always late?” It’s the best reason I can think of.
Home delivery could be the ideal job for animal lovers seeking a new career. If you love meeting dogs, it will never feel like work.
