Parrots are a real riot. You never know what they'll say or do. Beaker is the perfect example. He speaks his mind while hopping, posing, and strutting his stuff in the name of love.
In a July 20, 2024 TikTok video posted by @beakerbeak , the chatty parrot is showing off all his skills to impress his sweetheart. Believe it or not, this impressive guy even does his own stunts. Watch him get at it!
"He does his own stunts!" the caption says. In the video, Beaker shows his honey Tinkerbell how cool he is by sweet-talking as he shows off his talents. The funniest thing about this persistent little guy is that he calls Tinkerbell "Big Grammy," and says it often! She's not quite sure how to respond, sometimes hiding from sweet Beaker, but he keeps trying to win her over. Plus, look at his awesome moves!
Beaker has a swarm of fans rooting for him and his relationship. Of the account's 496,000 followers, hundreds left notes of support for the funny parrot.
"I can hear the 'Hi baby girl' all day. Sweetest thing," one person wrote. "Baby girl... even after the kid leaves the nest, that's love," another said. "He tries so hard bc he knows blue was her first love & he wants to remind her he loves her!" another added.

Teaching Your Parrot to Talk
It can take about a year for a parrot to gain the vocabulary Beaker has. Vetstreet says you can teach your parrot to talk by starting with simple phrases like "hello," or "bye-bye." From there, add on until they've learned a phrase or sentence. Birds learn by hearing you say things over and over, so repetition is necessary. They may even spend a while taking the words in before they ever attempt to speak them, so be patient.
It's also important to note you should speak clearly and reward them often so they get the hang of it. Learning to talk is hard! Take plenty of breaks so they don't get frustrated and don't push them if they're not feeling it. They won't get all words right away so again, patience is key. And, it should go without saying, but whether they learn what you want them to or not, shower them with all the love in the world regardless. Every bird is different, and they all have their own little unique, lovable personalities.
