Modders YveltalGriffin and Wesk have created the Kawaii, a miniaturized Wii console that fits on a keychain. The project began with the desire to create a Wii even smaller than the GC Nano. Undervolting and Thundervolt integration allowed for passive cooling and a compact design. The Kawaii features a dedicated dock, various color options, and plays classic Wii games digitally.

After recent controversy, Nintendo will no longer be recognizing the win team Jackpot had in the 2024 Splatoon 3 World Championship. The company put out a statement on social media which mentions that some members of team Jackpot “acted in a manner that is not in line with our Community Guidelines”. Due to this, their win will be voided and they won’t be getting trophies either. Nintendo will also adjust the Splatoon 3 Splashtag banner that was released with a future patch.
