Dog Who Was Rescued With Collar Stuck In Neck Still Searching For Home

    2024-07-25

(MA) Meet Ollie, a shy sweetheart of a dog who has not had an easy life. This 2-year-old Black Lab mix pup came into rescue in bad shape. Ollie arrived malnourished and dehydrated. To make things worse, he had a collar embedded in his neck. This caused an infection in addition to the loss of all the fur around his neck.

Thankfully, with the help of Great Dog Rescue New England and his fosters, Ollie is now healthy and happy. His only complaint is that he has been waiting over SIX MONTHS for someone to choose him for their family. He hopes he will not have to wait much longer.

    More Information On Ollie

Ollie is a two-year-old Black Labrador Retriever & Boxer mix pup who weighs approximately 50 pounds. He has a short coat length which is black, white, and cream in color. Ollie is neutered and fully up to date on his vaccinations.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Ollie is a gentle yet playful pup who loves unconditionally. Though he can be shy at first, he is quick to make friends with people and dogs alike. His favorite thing to do is go on outdoor adventures, followed by cuddles with his humans. Ollie would do well in a home with other dogs and or children. He is house-trained and does well on a leash.

"Ollie's gentle, playful nature and love for the outdoors make him a perfect companion for those who appreciate the joy of shared adventures and the quiet comfort of a loyal friend. Adopt Ollie and experience the unconditional love and companionship that only a pet like him can provide." - Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder
