Your Weekly Horoscopes: July 28 to August 3, 2024

Happy August! In my now over five years of writing weekly horoscopes, I’ve never seen a month quite like August 2024. But before we get into the real action, this week the moon is waning, and things are mostly reflective and sleepy. The one bump in the night comes on the 2nd when Venus squares off with Uranus bringing sudden windfalls, unexpected meet-cutes and necessary reinvention. This aspect is a bit of a flashback to the Venus retrograde in Leo that took place last July and August, and the vibes are definitely nostalgic . I’d also keep my eye on relationships and contracts that began last summer for changes of heart or further developments (looking at you, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ).

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Before things go any deeper with your latest love connection, you’ve gotta have a talk and figure out if your values are actually aligned. You’re too busy right now to be wasting your time with someone who doesn’t want the same things as you (as much as it’s nice to wake up with someone by your side.) Either a clear yes or a clear no comes as an unexpected gift on the 2nd.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

The family arguments that defined summer 2023 for you rear their ugly head once again this week. But luckily this time you have greater perspective and a better sense of humor about the whole thing. Yes it’s frustrating that your brother still acts like a child and your mom enables it, but back in your own reality, you have a beautifully cultivated little corner of the world.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

It’s an exciting week filled with friend dates, project deadlines and parties in the neighborhood. Though some might get burned out with this many social obligations, you’re actually thriving. Just a little low on sleep . On the 2nd, yet another opportunity lands in your lap and you may have to make a choice between a longstanding agreement and something that feels more exciting in the moment. Why not try something new?

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

July was an opportunity for you to set the reset button on your image, style and health. As we close out the month and this lunar cycle, you’re thinking a lot about who and what makes you happy. Now that you’re feeling more grounded and embodied, what do you really need? A surprise gift from a friend or coworker on the 2nd brings you a new beloved object to style your life around.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Difficult choices must be made this week when it comes to which friends you actually want at your birthday party. You usually feel like the more the merrier (and the more attention the better), but some infighting in your social group has you wanting to make sure that no one’s going to ruin your special day. An unexpected change in plans on the 2nd might leave you all dressed up with nowhere to go so why not pivot and take yourself on a date?

Virgo (August 23 - September 23)

This week you’re feeling a major push and pull between fact and fiction, fantasy and reality, presence and absence. A wildcard opportunity at work comes through on the 2nd. Though you’d rather do all the behind-the-scenes work and have someone else present, it’s clear that you’re the best person to articulate things. Make you sure you take time to rest and daydream about your next vacation after that big day.

Libra (September 23 - October 21)

Summer is always your most visible time of year, and the past month has given you a lot to chew on when it comes to balancing your public and private life. You’re learning that you’re allowed to be sensitive and take space from draining friends while also remembering that a good night with good people feels amazing. A surprising conversation on the 2nd deepens one relationship even if you’re questioning another.

Scorpio (October 22 - November 21)

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Are you feeling the pressure , Sagittarius? It seems like everyone is looking at you for guidance and advice these days. Though it’s nice to feel valued, it’s also overwhelming. Leo season is all about devotion for you, Aquarius. Are you surrounded by the right people? An unexpected change of heart brings a shift to a key relationship on the 2nd. You thought you could only love someone one way , but it turns out there are many options. Love can always rise again or be reinvented.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Leo season is a grind for you, Pisces.
