Weisheit files for change of venue

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- A change of venue hearing will take place today for Warrick County Heath Administrator, Marlin Weisheit.

According to court records, Weisheit filed the motion to change venue on Wednesday, just ahead of his trial. Weisheit is charged with conversion and official misconduct following an investigation by Indiana State Police in the Warrick County Health Department.

He is accused of knowingly requesting and accepting over $9,000 from Health Department Funds without approval and despite not being a department employee. Troopers say that Weisheit also used the Health Officer Stamp to transfer Health Department funds to pay a lease agreement without knowledge or approval.
