Disney+, Hulu, and Max Bundle Launches Today with Savings Up to 38% Off Buying Separately

Amazon Prime Day didn’t have this deal. The streaming bundle that will offer Disney+, Hulu, and Max together for one price is available to U.S. subscribers starting today, Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney Entertainment announced today.

For $16.99/month, you can get all three streamers with ads, and for $29.99/month you can get all three without ads. The release says it’s a savings of “up to” 38 percent, which is true for the highest-priced ad-free option should you currently be paying for Disney+, Hulu, and Max each separately. The original Disney bundle, which is the duo of Disney+ and Hulu, is $9.99 for the with-ads plan and $19.99 for the ad-free option, so it’s more modestly discounted if you were to add a monthly Max subscription on to one of those.

Disney and WBD announced this partnership back in May, but without a launch date or pricing. We doubt it’s a coincidence it’s launching the day before Peacock wants you to sign up to watch the Olympics .

Bundles are all the rage right now to help streamers reduce churn, or the habit of cycling through signing up and cancelling after you’ve finished watching the show you care to watch. Comcast is offering a deal that gets you Peacock, Apple TV+, and Netflix for one price. And Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney are also teaming up with Fox on a joint venture sports streaming service called Venu . The hope is that the combo of ABC, CNN, DC, Discovery, Disney, Food Network, FX, HBO, HGTV, Hulu, Marvel, Pixar, Searchlight, Star Wars, Warner Bros., and more will keep folks around for the long haul.

Disney+ has 117.6 million subscribers, Hulu has 45.8 million subs (50.2 if you include those who pay for Hulu + Live TV), and while Warner Bros. Discovery doesn’t disclose how many subscribers each individual service has between Max and Discovery+, collectively they have 99.6 million subscribers.

If streaming bundles are starting to sound a lot like cable but with things still difficult to find , you’re not wrong. But the news also comes as companies like Disney are doing everything they can to chase Netflix, making tweaks to algorithms and promo art and even sending people friendly reminder emails to come back and finish the movie you paused halfway through.

Netflix in its recent earnings call suggested that it wasn’t looking to partner with any other streamers individually on a bundle, while others like Paramount+ are certainly looking for a partner .
