Jennifer Lopez admits she’s ‘fragile’ and ‘frightened’ after celebrating her birthday without Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez is feeling a variety of emotions on her 55th birthday.

The singer posted a message to her fans via Instagram on Wednesday as she hit the milestone.

Days earlier, Lopez threw herself a “Bridgerton”-themed birthday party. Her husband, Ben Affleck, skipped the party amid rumors they’re getting divorced .

Lopez’s post featured two pictures of her wearing blue pajamas and a “Happy Birthday” headband. She smiled looking at her cake and numerous bouquets of flowers with a big “Happy Birthday” banner behind her.

“I’ve been seeing all of your birthday wishes, beautiful videos, and posts all last night and this morning from all over the world,” she began her caption. “I have laughed, smiled, shed some tears. I really do have the best, most amazing fans in the world. I could never express how moved I am or how incredibly blessed I feel to have all of you be a part of my life.”

She continued: “It’s hard to believe we have spent all this time together. It’s funny as I sit here contemplating on the most extraordinary journey I still feel like the same girl starting out so full of energy and bravado, so ready to take on the whole world on the outside and yet so tender, fragile and sometimes frightened but always full of love on the inside.”

The “Hustlers” actress told her fans that they’re her “biggest gift” on her birthday besides her friends and family, which includes her 16-year-old twins whom she shares with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony. She’s also a stepmom to Affleck’s three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

“You have always been there for me in the good times and in the tough times,” Lopez’s message continued. “I can always count on you. And I want you to know that you can always count on me. Thank you for your caring, your understanding, your loyalty and most importantly your love.”

Lopez also shared a sexy selfie of herself wearing a white swimsuit on her birthday. “This Is Me…Now 🎂,” she captioned the photo, referencing the title of her latest album.

Over the weekend, Lopez hosted her birthday bash in the Hamptons. The party was inspired by “Bridgerton,” complete with ballroom dancers, a live orchestra and a horse-drawn carriage.

The “Atlas” star wore a blue ballgown, mesh gloves and gold platform heels. She put her hair up with a crown headpiece.

The guests similarly dressed in Regency-era attire to channel the characters from the hit Netflix series.

While Lopez was partying in New York, Affleck stayed home in Los Angeles . The “Argo” actor was photographed running errands without his wedding ring on.

The rumors about the couple’s marriage began in early May, when Lopez attended the 2024 Met Gala without the Oscar winner. Soon after, Affleck was reported to be staying at a separate house from Lopez .

Since then, the “Gigli” co-stars have mostly spent their summer apart, with Lopez taking a trip to Italy without Affleck, who stayed home in LA. They were on opposite coasts for the Fourth of July and their second wedding anniversary on July 16.

The couple have also listed their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion for sale . Affleck reportedly already moved his belongings out of the house .

Lopez hasn’t addressed the split rumors, but she did cancel her world tour that was supposed to run from June to August.

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” she wrote in a statement in May.

“I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again,” she added. “I love you all so much. Until next time…”
