Good morning everyone. We start off with much of the same as far as what we saw yesterday. The Gulf Coast along Texas and Louisiana remain an issue as stubborn tropical moisture continues to meander about each day. Meanwhile, a stalled-out front is draped over the Carolinas and the Southeast, giving the area another round of much needed rain.

That's where the good news ends and we discuss what's within these areas of moisture. So far we haven't seen any severe weather this morning, but we do know from the last few days, isolated severe weather is a distinct possibility. As the sun works the atmosphere and showers and storms build, we will be looking for individual cells that may be capable of large hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning, and torrential rain. This pertains to both the Gulf Coast & the Carolinas.

Tornado risk at this time is very low, but with tropical energy hanging out along the Texas & Louisiana coastline, waterspouts could pose a marine hazard as we saw yesterday near the Galveston area. Flash flooding will also be an issue due to the amount of rain that has fallen across the coastal plains of Texas and Louisiana, plus interior sections of North Caolina and South Carolina.

Stay tuned to your local agencies for the latest watches and warnings. Do not attempt to cross moving water on foot or in your vehicles.
