10 Best New Arrivals at Ikea for Your Money in August

Whether you’re shopping in store or online, it’s impossible not to notice all the new Halloween and autumn items for sale at Ikea. The argument that it’s too soon to start selling fall décor and accessories is up for debate, although the consensus among consumers is likely that these collections are arriving right on time for their budgets .
Case in point: The novel holiday “Summerween,” a mashup of Halloween meets summer festivities, has been trending on social media platforms and inspired many viewers to start shopping for Halloween early so they can join in the fun.
An Ikea representative reached out to GOBankingRates to share new products from Ikea’s Kustfyr Halloween collection, which have been rolling out throughout July, along with new items from the Höstagille autumn collection. See what’s worth shopping at Ikea in August.
If you’re seeking out lighting to create a spooky Summerween and Halloween atmosphere, the Kustfyr pumpkin-shaped LED table lamp should be added to your cart.
Currently, this lamp has a 4.9 rating on the Ikea website. Five-star customer reviews praise its subtle glow and that both sides of the lamp have a face so you can display it in a window and still enjoy it on both sides.
GOBankingRates did a little sleuthing among retailers currently selling Halloween-themed serving plates and most are much more expensive than Ikea’s Kustfyr serving plate. Even similar offerings sold at Walmart run about $7.99 each — and that includes the sale price.
Savvy shoppers would be wise to pick up these jack-o’-lantern shaped plates ahead of Halloween to serve up finger foods and candy.
Most big-box retailers haven’t rolled out their Halloween serving bowls, but chances are you won’t need to shop for one after buying the Kustfyr serving bowl from Ikea.
Available in black or white colors and shaped like a ghost, this inexpensive serving bowl has plenty of room to hold a variety of snacks and dips.
Compared to similar offerings from Target’s Hyde & Eek! Boutique, where most Halloween-themed mugs are priced at $5 each, shoppers save $2 when they purchase the Kustfyr mug at Ikea.
Choose from a wide range of Halloween-themed colors and designs including black (spider), green (Frankenstein), orange (jack-o’-lantern) and white (ghost).
Add a spook-tacular touch to breakfast toast, cookies and PB&J sandwiches with these Kustfyr cookie cutters.
Each set includes three cookie cutters in bat, ghost and pumpkin shapes. When we do the math, this means Ikea shoppers only pay about 50 cents per cookie cutter.
Need a new oven mitt for fall? The autumn-inspired Höstagille oven mitt is just under $4 and much cheaper compared to oven mitts available from Target’s Threshold brand which are $10 apiece.
Don’t wait until the last minute before Thanksgiving to get ahead of pie plate shopping.
Measuring 13 inches, Ikea’s new Höstagille pie plate has more than enough room to accommodate freshly baked apple and pumpkin pies at a budget-friendly price.
The Höstagille baking dish might be among one of the more expensive items in this roundup, but the new Ikea addition is worth the money.
This large dish measures at 21 by 12 inches, giving cooks enough room to prepare everything from potatoes to roasted chicken and transfer the meal right from the oven directly to the set table. Excluding Pyrex dishes, similar baking dishes for sale at stores like Crate & Barrel and Sur La Table come with much more expensive price tags.
Ikea shoppers get a lot of bang for their buck when they add the Höstagille scented tealights to their carts.
These tealights come in purple, orange and black colors and are vanilla-scented to give every room in your room a cozy ambiance ahead of spooky season. It’s also fairly inexpensive. Each package includes 30 tealights so shoppers only wind up paying about 13 cents per tealight.
