If you're heading to the movie theater this weekend to catch the latest entry to the MCU – and the first featuring Deadpool and Wolverine – then you'll likely want to know if you should stay in your seat beyond the credits as per tradition with any Marvel outing.

Well, we have the inside scoop that there is, in fact, a reason for you to stay seated, and it's not just due to that always-anticipated post-credits scene.

Does Deadpool & Wolverine Have a Post Credits Scene?

Yes, Deadpool & Wolverine does follow the MCU tradition of having a little extra treat for fans who stick around to watch all the names that contributed to the movie.

Does Deadpool & Wolverine Have a Mid Credits Scene?

While you'll have to wait right until the very end for the post-credits action, you do get a little something to make the wait enjoyable.

There's a lovely nostalgic montage of the actors on the set of previous Marvel movies, which runs alongside the credits and features a younger Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, as well as other familiar faces.

What Happens in the Deadpool & Wolverine Post Credits Scene?

You'll want to look away if you're trying to avoid spoilers for the film because it features a very special cameo that is best experienced for the first time in theaters.

Now that's out the way, here's what's going on after the Deadpool & Wolverine 's credits roll.

Chris Evans returns in Deadpool & Wolverine as Human Torch, and his fate is not pretty.

Early in the film, Deadpool and Wolverine cross paths with Chris Evans as Human Torch, but the trio get kidnapped Mad Max style and taken to Cassandra Nova.

In an attempt to save himself from Cassandra's wrath, Deadpool gets creative by making up a white lie about how Human Torch spoke about Cassandra to Deadpool and Wolverine.

So, to re-write history – and prove he was not responsible for Human Torch's fate – Deadpool re-writes the scene.

While it doesn't add any context to future Marvel outings, it does pack in one final laugh to send audiences on their way.
