‘He Said College!’ Charlamagne Tha God Says People ‘Look Ridiculous’ Misquoting Viral Brian Kilmeade Clip

Charlamagne tha God on Thursday called out the people who have misquoted a viral clip of Brian Kilmeade talking about Vice President Kamala Harris .

In the clip, which made the rounds on social media Wednesday, Kilmeade criticized Harris for her plan to address a “college sorority.” To some, however, it sounded like Kilmeade said, “colored sorority.”

The misquote resulted in a wave of online backlash, with prominent Democrats and left-leaning media personalities even running with it. Kilmeade addressed the outrage on Fox & Friends on Thursday morning, saying he was “not going to back off anything I say” and that “the media should be responsible when they report things.”

Charlamagne thinks it’s a bad look that people are “looking for random acts of racism.”

“He said ‘college’!” Charlamagne said on The Breakfast Club , “and listen, Black people, we’re gonna lose our minds looking for random acts of racism and sexism. There’s going to be a lot of blatant racism and sexism over the next 100 days, and it’s gonna be even more if Vice President Kamala Harris gets in the White House. So I just think we look ridiculous sitting around, trying to figure out whether a person said ‘college’ or ‘colored.’

“There’s a lot of blatant acts of racism and sexism that’s happening now and that’s gonna be happening. I’m not sitting around, wasting my time trying to decide whether he said ‘college’ or ‘colored.’ I felt like he said ‘college.'”
