Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Chris Sale.

We went 1-2 in our strikeout props on Wednesday to stay hovering around .500 for the week. Let's jump on a trio of aces on Thursday's MLB slate to catapult into the green.

Max Scherzer over 6.5 Ks (+124 FanDuel )

White Sox at Rangers, 2:35 p.m. ET

Scherzer is no longer the dominant ace he once was. The veteran right-hander has a 3.99 ERA through six starts this season and hasn't cleared this line yet, but this is the ideal matchup for him to flash his vintage self. The Chicago White Sox have the highest strikeout rate in MLB against righties since the All-Star break (30.8 percent), and Scherzer has had his way with this lineup in the past. In 66 combined plate appearances against him, current White Sox hitters have a .183 xBA, a .206 xwOBA and a whopping 40.9 percent K rate.

Clayton Kershaw under 4.5 Ks (+104 FD )

Giants at Dodgers, 4:10 p.m. ET

Welcome back, old friend! Kershaw is making his season debut on Thursday after undergoing shoulder surgery in the offseason, and while we're excited to have one of the league's best back in action, we have no choice but to fade him here. Kershaw will likely be on a similar pitch count to last season when he returned from a 1.5-month absence and threw only 67 pitches in his first start back. The San Francisco Giants have been struggling against lefties this month, but Kershaw has just a 24.2 percent K rate against current Giants hitters.

Chris Sale over 7.5 Ks (-104 FD )

Braves at Mets, 7:10 p.m. ET

Sale is finally taking the mound on Thursday after two straight rainouts against the Cincinnati Reds, and you know we're targeting his over. The left-hander has gone over this line in 10 of his last 13 starts and four of his last five. The only time he didn't in that span came against a Padres lineup that has the lowest strikeout rate in MLB against lefties this season. The New York Mets, on the other hand, are striking out 28.1 percent of the time against lefties since the All-Star break. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
