Jennifer Lopez Reveals Who She’s Leaning on Amid 'Fragile' Feelings After Career Woes

In the past few months, Jennifer Lopez has been through a lot. In addition to being busy with work, filming her new movie Kiss of the Spider Woman and doing promo for her Netflix hit Atlas , rumors about her marriage struggles with Ben Affleck have been at an all-time high. Of course, adding to all of that, her tour, This Is Me Live , was canceled due to personal reasons and low ticket sales. Therefore, whether it’s for the good or the bad, Lopez has had a rocky past few months.

So, alas, fans breathed a sigh of relief when they saw her beaming with happiness in her recent birthday post celebrating her 55th birthday. In the Instagram post, a bare-faced Lopez can be seen smiling from ear to ear in her living room in blue silk pajamas.

In the captions, she gave a sweet shout-out to her fans.

“I’ve been seeing all of your birthday wishes, beautiful videos, and posts all last night and this morning from all over the world I have laughed, smiled, shed some tears, and when I saw the billboard in Times Square, I was completely overwhelmed,” Lopez candidly wrote. “I really do have the best, most amazing fans in the world. I could never express how moved I am or how incredibly blessed I feel to have all of you be a part of my life. Thank you sooooo very much. 🤍🙏🏼.”

Lopez also took some time to look back at her career, and how her fans have stood beside her all the way through. “It’s hard to believe we have spent all this time together,” she wrote. “It’s funny as I sit here contemplating on the most extraordinary journey I still feel like the same girl starting out so full of energy and bravado, so ready to take on the whole world on the outside and yet so tender, fragile and sometimes frightened but always full of love on the inside.”

“I have so much love for you,” she continued. “I want you to know on my birthday that YOU are my biggest gift. Besides my family and friends, you have always been there for me in the good times and in the tough times. I can always count on you. And I want you to know that you can always count on me. Thank you for your caring, your understanding, your loyalty and most importantly your love. 🤍 Thank you, Thank you, Thank you…”

With a sweet message like that, it’s safe to say Lopez has no bad blood with her fans over her canceled tour. After all, her fans are spread across the country, the world, and just perhaps didn’t have the means to buy the concert tickets to begin with.

In the comment section, her loyal fans are almost emotional with her appreciation post. “Your caption made me emotional, you are so important to so many people out there and its nice to see [we are] important to you too ❤️😢❤️,” one commenter wrote. “You mean the world to so many of us.. I love to see you smile ❤️,” echoed another.

For her birthday, Lopez celebrated with an extravagant Bridgerton -inspired bash. In addition to wearing not one but two gorgeous gowns, Lopez enjoyed some Regency-era dances, took the dance floor at some point to sing and blew the candles off her white four-tiered cake.

“Dearest Gentle Reader… And a splendid evening was had by all,” Lopez wrote in a compilation video of the night.

So while Affleck might not have attended (adding even more fuel to split speculations ), it seems like Lopez is taking some time to enjoy life, celebrate herself and, of course, thank her devoted fans.
