An insider claims that Maggie and Pat have a similar sense of humor, hence watching Ryan face a mostly unimpressed audience might be some comic relief to bond over. The source added that Pat is unhappy about how he was treated and kicked off the show, which is why he refuses to lend his successor a helping hand.

The tipster revealed that Pat feels a sense of satisfaction from watching Ryan struggle to take over, and would often act busy or give a vague response whenever he asks for help.
