In a tragic turn of events, 14-year-old Chquese Porter has been denied bond following his formal charging as an adult in the shooting death of 12-year-old Caleb Bender. The incident occurred around 1:00 am on June 29th, 2024, at a residence on River Rd near the intersection of Leola St in the Town of Stonewall, according to a press release from the Clarke County Sheriff.

A former aide to Gov. Kathy Hochul had her $3.5 million Long Island home raided by the FBI early Tuesday, law enforcement sources told The Post.

The feds carried out the pre-dawn search at the five-bedroom property where Linda Sun, one of Hochul’s former deputy chiefs of staff, lives in a gated community in Manhasset, the sources said.

The reason for the raid, first reported on by the New York Times, wasn’t immediately clear.



Neither Sun, 40, nor her husband, Chris Hu, 41, has been accused of any wrongdoing. 

No arrests were made during the raid, according to sources.

In Virginia, Drinking in public or offering another person alcohol in a public space is prohibited. This is a class 4 Misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $250.00. Under a new law that goes into effect on July 1, this will change to a degree.WDBJ7 reports that the prohibition on drinking or offering an alcoholic beverage to someone else in public will no longer apply under the following conditions.

Earlier this month, officers from the Douglas Police Department arrested a local man for allegedly stealing a vehicle from the VFW parking lot while intoxicated. According to a Douglas Police Department incident report, officers responded to the VFW on McDonald Road at approximately 11:07 p.m. on July 12 following reports of a fight. A 54-year-old man informed officers that Dustin McClellan, 37, who was intoxicated, had taken his vehicle during an altercation at the location.
