Ice Spice Reveals Where She Stands With Nicki Minaj Following Leaked Text Message — Says She Has Zero Issues With Latto

Ice Spice has finally spoken out about her rumored beef with Latto . In an exclusive cover story for RollingStone, Ice Spice not only addressed her relationship with Latto but also opened up about her stance on the leaked text message drama involving Nicki Minaj. Additionally, she shed light on her friendship with CentralCee amidst ongoing dating rumors.

The feud rumors between Ice Spice and Latto were reignited recently when Latto posted a picture on social media. The image featured a poop emoji cake with a ribbon that read, “Holy shit, you’re headlining.” However, it was the caption that seemed to be shady, “Think I’m the shit , bitch ?????” wrote Latto. Obviously, that was a reference to Ice Spice’s track “Think U The Sh*t (Fart),” which many speculated to contain bars aimed at Latto.

However, Ice Spice dismissed the seriousness of the situation in her interview with RollingStone. She stated, “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me,” Ice says. “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Shit’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of shit cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me … again.”

Interestingly enough, Latto expressed similar sentiments during her interview with Billboard. While she too said there is no beef she did explain why she would not participate in a rap battle with Spice.

“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with,” Latto told Billboard for her new cover story. “I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? She continued, “I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’ Everybody gon’ take their lil jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me; I feel like you should do that. Continue to! But as far as actual whole diss records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that. I feel like … would it even make sense? It wouldn’t.”

Aside from addressing the feud, Ice Spice also touched on the leaked text message drama involving Nicki Minaj. While she didn’t go into specifics, Ice Spice hinted that there might be more to the story than what was publicly known. She maintained that her relationship with Nicki Minaj was unaffected by the incident and that they were on good terms.

“We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good,” she told the outlet “We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.”

Further speaking on Spice’s former close friend who leaked text messages in which Ice expressed frustration with the contract negotiations with Minaj for their joint song on last year’s Barbie soundtrack, Ice admitted,, “I think that the saddest part of the whole situation, it’s somebody I knew for so many years and called my friend had me open up and be vulnerable with them, and then took complete advantage of that for her own benefit,” Ice explained. “So that was the saddest part really, just feeling used, basically.”

Lastly, Ice Spice addressed the rumors surrounding her friendship with CentralCee. Although there have been speculations about a romantic involvement, Ice Spice clarified that they were simply close friends. “We’ve been friends since ‘Munch’ came out, honestly. We’re just twins.”
