Exclusive My First Horror Film Clip – Open the Door

My First Horror Film is set to have a special LA screening on August 9, 2024. It will then head to digital platforms on August 13, 2024.

My First Horror Film was written and directed by first-time filmmaker Shihan Van Clief. It stars Georgina Navarro (Fade), Chauntice Green (9-1-1: Lone Star), Justyn Franco (The Nexus), Stephan O’ Shea, Joy Marie Thomas (Ballers), and Miles Crawford (Euphoria).

When discussing the feature, writer/director Shihan Van Clief says, “As a first-time filmmaker, I wanted My First Horror Film to be a thrilling story that also leaves the audience feeling good. I know this sounds completely out of character for the horror genre, but I think we were successful at this. This project was a total collaborative effort and I’m grateful for the team I had, as well as the incredible cast and distributor. Make sure you stay for the end credits because we have something special waiting there. We can’t wait for you to experience it.”

Epic Pictures and Dread’s VP of US Distribution and Creative Yulissa Morales says, “We are thrilled to bring the Dread audience Shihan Van Clief’s directorial debut. He and his team have put a great film together and we are excited to see what he will do next.”

    Neil Bolt

Neil became a horror fan from just a nightmare-inducing glimpse of the Ghoulies VHS cover and a book on how to draw ghosts. It escalated from there and now that's almost all he writes and talks about.
