Vince Gill and Amy Grant Announce New Collection of Holiday Classics ‘When I Think of Christmas’

When it comes to Christmas music, many country fans immediately think of Vince Gill and Amy Grant. The couple has one of the most successful Ryman Auditorium residencies in their annual series of holiday concerts. Later this year, fans will be able to bring the spirit of those shows home with a new album of Yuletide favorites from Gill and Grant. When I Think of Christmas will hit streaming services and record store shelves on September 13 via MCA Nashville.

Both Gill and Grant have sold millions of copies of their solo holiday albums. Now, they’re coming together for a very special collection of songs. When I Think of Christmas features nine remastered recordings of songs from both artists. Additionally, it will include two new songs.

Both Amy Grant and Vince Gill spoke about their new album in a joint press release.

“Christmas Music is a portal to wonder and awe, to nostalgia and ‘remember when,’ to hope and how we wish it could be,” Grant shared. “And because we return to the same playlists year after year, those songs have become the backdrop for our collective memories of gathering, of family, of gift giving, of celebration and solitude. I’ve recorded a lot of Christmas music over the years, and I’m excited to add two new songs to this collection, especially the song Vince and I close our Christmas concerts with, ‘‘Til The Season Comes Round Again,” she added. “I hope these new songs find a place on playlists, whether it’s during the holiday season or all year round.”

Vince Gill added, “There’s nothing in the world that I love more than watching my girl shine, and she might shine the brightest when she does Christmas music. We have shared stages together for over 30 years and I’ve loved every note of it. I hope everyone enjoys this collection of songs, and hearing Amy shine.”
